What is Adobe CEF Helper

The Adobe CEF Helper process runs in the background to render Adobe Creative Cloud components. However, the Adobe CEF Helper may use a lot of your computer’s resources (CPU or Memory) because of things like missing adobe creative cloud components files or interference from other programmes.

This issue may not originate from Adobe’s Creative Cloud, but there are other potential sources.

Method 1: Improve Adobe’s Creative Suite

What is Adobe CEF Helper

In most cases, this problem arises when a third-party programme corrupts or otherwise messes up Adobe Creative Cloud data. If you’re having problems using Adobe Creative Cloud, try the troubleshooting methods below.

Step 1: Click the appropriate Windows version link below to download the Creative Cloud Uninstaller.

Step 2: To use the unpacking utility, select the downloaded ZIP archive, then right-click it and select “Extract to Creative Cluoud Uninstallerwin.”

Step 3: To remove Creative Cloud, go to the UNZIP folder and launch the uninstaller.

Step 4: A brief window will appear; select Repair from the menu.

Step 5: Once that’s finished, see if the Adobe CEF Helper is still using a lot of memory.

Method 2: How to Abort a Process Using PowerShell

End-tasking Adobe CEF Helper may not help, as the process will continue to execute even if you end-task it. However, after the Adobe Creative Cloud has been fixed, the task can be terminated through powershell. Just do what I say:

Step 1: Enter “PowerShell” by pressing the Windows key.

Step 2: Select PowerShell, and then select Run As Administrator from the context menu.

Step 3: In the PowerShell prompt, paste the following command line.

taskkill /t /f /im “Creative Cloud Helper.exe”

Step 4: After that point, Adobe CEF Helper will no longer consume system resources.

Method 3: Login to Creative Cloud Not Launched

If the problem still persists, you can stop the Creative Cloud from opening at login by deselecting the box labelled Launch Creative Cloud At Login. However, it will not stop the necessary Creative Cloud procedures from running.

The customers who had the problem say it is now resolved after they disabled Creative Cloud during login. Thus, here are the measures you should take:

Step 1: Navigate to your device’s preferences by clicking the cogwheel in the top right.

Step 2: Select General under Preferences.

Step 3: Uncheck the box labelled Launch Creative Cloud upon Login.

Step 4: To see if restarting your computer fixes the problem, try doing so.

The Adobe CEF Helper can also be prevented from starting by starting without the Adobe Creative Cloud procedure. If you disable Creative Cloud, the Adobe CEF Helper won’t appear in the Task Manager again until you restart the service or one of its components. If you want to prevent Adobe CEF Helper from loading at launch, follow these instructions.

Step 1: Ctrl+Shift+Esc will bring up the Task Manager.

Step 2: To access Startup, click here.

Step 3: To turn off Adobe Creative Cloud, select it from the list.

Step 4: You can now try restarting your computer to see if it fixes the problem.

Method 4: To Start Over Freshly

If the preceding step does not work, you can try a clean boot, which involves turning off all services and third-party programmes. A method for identifying problematic third-party software. Currently, there is no need to perform an application diagnosis.

However, Adobe Creative Cloud and its associated processes must be disabled along with anything else that isn’t essential for Windows to start up.

Step 1: Using the Win + R shortcut to access Run Program, you can initiate a clean boot.

Step 2: Simply entering “msconfig” into the search bar and pressing “Enter” will bring up the system configuration utility.

Step 3: Go to Services after selecting the Discerning New Venture.

Step 4: If you want to disable all Microsoft services at once, select that option and click Disable All.

Step 5: After that, select OK and then Apply.

Step 6: Try restarting your machine to see if the problem persists.
