In most cases, players experience the problem after installing a new version of the game or operating system. Sometimes this happens immediately after starting a new game of PSO2, but most often it happens a little while into the game.
Method 1: Make Sure You’re Playing The Most Recent Version of PSO2
If your PSO2 installation is out of date, you may encounter an incompatibility error, indicated by the error code 667. In this case, updating PSO2 to the most recent build could resolve the issue. However, before taking that path, you should verify the availability of both the game servers and the platform servers (such as Xbox).
Step 1: Launch the game and access more settings by using a launcher like PSO2 Tweaker.
Step 2: Now, click Check for Updates, and afterward, restart the launcher.
Step 3: Launch Project Sandbox 2 and see if the error 667 has been fixed.
Method 2: Turn Off The Antivirus Software
Login error 667 can occur if a security programme on the computer is interfering with the game’s modules from loading or running properly. In this case, disabling the system’s security application may solve the error 667.
Warning: Disabling the system’s security product can be dangerous, so proceed with caution to avoid compromising the system, data, or network.
Step 1: Close the PSO2 game and launcher, as well as any associated background processes, using the OS’s built-in Task Manager.
Step 2: In the expanded system tray (near the clock icon), right-click the security programme (like ESET).
Step 3: Then, choose Pause Protection and confirm your selection by clicking Yes (if a UAC prompt is received).
Step 4: To disable the security solution for a certain amount of time, choose the appropriate option and hit the “Apply” button.
Step 5: If the security tool is still visible in the system tray, right-click it and select Pause Firewall from the menu that appears.
Step 6: Click the button to turn off ESET’s firewall, and then fire up PSO2 to make sure everything is running well.
Method 3: Fixing Game Setup Problems
The PSO2 error code 667 may appear during game login if one or more of the game’s required modules is broken (such as GameGuard) or missing (such as the game’s files), preventing the game’s modules from executing as intended. Here, attempting to fix the game’s installation may eliminate the 667 error.
Step 1: If you haven’t already, download and install the PSO2 Tweaker programme from the Official source, and then go to the Troubleshooting tab.
Step 2: It’s time to fix GameGuard, so press that button and hang tight for a moment.
Step 3: After that, make sure the error 667 has been fixed from the game.
Step 4: If this doesn’t work, head over to the PSO2 Tweaker Troubleshooting menu and see if the Fix Critical Files option helps.
Step 5: Go to the PSO2 Tweaker Troubleshooting menu and select Fix File Permission if the problem still exists.
Step 6: After that, start up the game and see if everything is in order.
Step 7: If it doesn’t work, try using the PSO2 Tweaker’s Troubleshooting menu to see if running Full File Check or Check for Missing Files fixes the issue 667.
