The majority of Elden Ring gamers are experiencing the same issue, which appears as a white screen during gameplay. Although the root cause of the white screen of death has yet to be identified, we have developed a few workarounds that may be of use.

Method 1: Exchange The DLLs
Changing the game’s DLLs to the originals is another viable option. DirectX is an API for developing and rendering graphical user interfaces (GUIs) in computer games; its files, designated with the extension “.DLL,” are the most common type of DLL. DirectX is supported by Elden Ring’s graphical components.
It is, nevertheless, possible for DirectX files to get corrupted. The reason the game always crashes to a white screen is because of this.
Step 1: Launch Steam, and then navigate to Library to swap out the DLLs.
Step 2: You may access your local files by right-clicking the Elden Ring, then selecting Manage.
Step 3: Look for D3D12.dll and D3D12Core.dll, and delete them.
Step 4: Now navigate to the following path:
C:\Windows\System32
Step 5: For best results, make a copy of both D3D12 and D3D12Core.dll.
Step 6: Go to the Elden Ring directory once you’ve made the copies.
Step 7: Copy and paste the above two files, then rename D3D12.dll to D3D12 original.dll.
Step 8: Once you’re ready, head over to Github and grab the 01 release binaries debug.zip file.
Step 9: After the archive has been extracted, open it and replicate all the files.
Step 10: Cut and paste these into the Elden Ring directory.
Step 11: Once that’s done, try starting the game again to see whether that prevents the crashing.
Method 2: Turn off Overclocking For The CPU, GPU, And RAM
Resetting the overclock settings in MSI Afterburner is highly recommended if you have recently implemented any overclock settings on your Graphics Card. We all know that increasing the overclock settings will make the Graphics Card faster, but that doing it wrong can bring problems.
Either remove the overclocking software or revert the settings to their defaults to prevent this from happening.

Step 1: Launch MSI Afterburner or your overclocking settings to revert the overclocking.
Step 2: For default overclocking, select the Reset button.
Method 3: Delete Interim Data
Windows maintains a temporary subdirectory to hold data such as DirectX cache and rejected files while it processes other requests. The corruption of temporary files is a common cause of crashes.
As a result, clearing the cache could help resolve the problem. To a large extent, this has helped players. Disk Cleanup can help you get rid of temporary files if you can’t get rid of them manually. To delete temporary files, do the following: –
Step 1: To launch the Run utility, hit the Windows key plus R.
Step 2: To access it, enter %temp% and press the OK button.
Step 3: Select all files with a single click of Ctrl+A.
Step 4: To delete a file or files, use the Delete key on your keyboard or the Delete option in the file menu.
Step 5: You’ll need to log in as an administrator, so when prompted, select the Continue button.
Step 6: When you’re sure you’ve gotten rid of everything, try starting the game again to see whether the Elden Ring While Screen issue still occurs.
